The Modern Languages Teaching Centre's Languages for All courses are open to all learners: University of Sheffield students taking the module for credits or not, University staff, and members of the public above 16 years of age.
Please use the buttons below to find out more about everything from the MLTC's range of languages and levels, our timetables, and your enrolment options.
Note: MLTC module titles changed in the academic year 2015-16. If you studied with us prior to 2015-16, please visit this page for the correspondence between old and new titles.
Masters students who are wishing to take a language module for credits will require an extra 5 credits to make their credit allowance balance. PGT students taking an MLTC module for credits are automatically enrolled on Enhanced Languages. More information can be found here.
Other languages are available within the Languages for All programme. These are taught by other Schools within the University of Sheffield.
For courses in Catalan, Czech, Dutch, Luxembourgish, and Russian, please contact the School of Languages and Cultures (SLC).
