Mishra is a Sheffield based Indo-folk quartet led by Department of Music staff, students and alumni. graduate Kate Griffin on banjo, featuring University of Sheffield World Music Performer in Residence John Ball on tabla alongside 2 other former Music Department graduates Ford Collier and Joss Mann-Hazell.
This year the quartet have been invited to perform at Cambridge Folk Festival and will be releasing their debut album in November. This collaboration emerged from the University of Sheffield Indian Music Ensemble who meet weekly in the Department of Music and will be performing later in the year in Leeds and Sheffield.
