Stephanie Pitts awarded £10K from the University’s Knowledge Transfer Fund

Stephanie Pitts has been awarded £10K from the University’s Knowledge Transfer fund to run a project on ‘Performer and audience loyalty in the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra’. She will work with Professor Chris Spencer (Psychology) and their jointly supervised students Kate Gee and Melissa Dobson, who have recently completed doctoral studies of performer identity and audience experience. The team have also received £1200 to fund visits to other UK researchers working on audience-related research, with a view to setting up national and international collaborations over the next two years.
