Vanessa Sorce-Lévesque releases Toreutique on Cache 2012
Toreutique was chosen to be part of the CEC (Canadian Electroacoustic Community) Cache compilation of 2012, and the CD is finally in production. It will be available shortly on http://www.electrocd.com/en/cat/pep_017/. The word ‘toreutique’ is French for ‘sculpture of rough materials, like metal, stone, and the like’. Composed almost entirely with sounds from a sculptor’s workshop in Montréal (Jean-Louis Émond), Toreutique is an acousmatic piece already enjoying good history of international recognition:
