PhD student Bridget Coulter publishes on girls and popular music

Research by doctoral student Bridget Coulter has been published in the Routledge Research Companion to Popular Music and Gender, edited by the internationally renowned music scholar Stan Hawkins. Bridget's chapter, '"Singing from the Heart": Notions of Gendered Authenticity in Pop Music', draws on her interviews with young girls about the meaning and value of recorded music in their lives.
