Department’s Tudor instruments find a wide public
The exhibition of the department’s historical instruments at Bishop’s House Museum has now closed, after three weeks of successful events. Over two successive weekends, local families enjoyed an unusual opportunity to try out a range of Tudor musical instruments and learn about Tudor music, with the help of students from the Department of Music. The exhibition closed with a wonderful concert in which students performed Tudor and Jacobean music on period instruments in a period setting.
We were also very excited to see the department’s historical instruments take pride of place on page three of the Yorkshire Post a couple of weeks ago!
