The AMS – the largest music studies association in the world – has awarded the book $2000 to enable the publisher to offer it for sale at a lower price. The award will make the book more accessible to students and the general public.

The AMS had already thrown their support behind the book in 2012 with an award of $2378 to help pay for the rights to publish colour images of the beautiful Renaissance artworks discussed.
