Distance Learning

The University of Sheffield is a Russell Group university that has pioneered postgraduate distance learning music courses in the UK. It offers an excellent range of part-time distance learning options that you can complete online, at home, when it suits you.

Our distance learning programmes are taught by academic staff that also deliver campus based programmes, as well as by distance learning specialists, and no distinction is made in terms of certification, between a campus based or distance learning award.

In addition to distance-taught Masters programmes, we are experienced in supervising PhD students living away from Sheffield and in part-time employment: if you'd like to enquire about how that possibility could work for you, please contact music-admissions@sheffield.ac.uk
