Accommodation

We advise booking accommodation in the city centre, which is well served by public transport (tram and buses) and is within walkable distance of the conference venues. Please note that as the 2017 Betfred World Championship snooker tournament is being held in Sheffield at the same time as our conference, accommodation may be in high demand. While there should still be plenty of accommodation available, you may need to book early to get your preferred choice. If driving, be aware that not all hotels offer free onsite parking: please check the hotel’s website.

Sheffield is quite a big city and there are many other hotels available too. For more options check booking.com. For less expensive accommodation see airbnb.co.uk. For those who enjoy the outdoor life, it is also possible to stay at a campsite or Youth Hostel in the Peak District and commute in to Sheffield each day. Be aware, though, that public transport services to the Peak District are not very frequent and (particularly if camping) that the weather in April can be anything from blazing sun to snow!
