As a pre-event to the Conference on Interdisciplinary Musicology: Nature versus Culture, a CIM-SEMPRE Study Day for postgraduate students is being held on the theme of emotion and expectation.

Guidance for poster presenters (submissions now closed): posters should be a maximum paper size of A0 (841 x 1189mm).

Preparation: All participants should read chapters 1 ("Introduction") and 15 ("Creating Tension") of Sweet Anticipation: Music and the Psychology of Expectation (by David Huron: MIT Press, 2006) in advance of the study day, and if possible, bring a copy/notes with them to aid discussion.
