Scope: The collection contains photographs and scrapbooks compiled by Bernard Fielding. Each scrapbook contains a mixture of clippings (including Fairground Mercury and World’s Fair), photographs, postcards, Paul Braithwaite history and patent material. Augmented by handwritten notes and research from other enthusiasts.

Administrative / biographical history: Bernard Fielding was a keen fairground enthusiast with a special interest in the preservation movement and showmen's engines. Bernard lived at Crosby where he was a local authority officer. His collection consists of detailed scrapbooks giving the history of ride types and engine manufacturers.
