Extra support for students
As a University, we have a long history of supporting students to achieve success. We believe that people from all parts of society should be given the opportunity to fulfil their potential; regardless of their backgrounds or personal circumstances.
We work in partnership with fellow universities, colleges, schools, local authorities, and charities to help aspiring students from the groups below to access Higher Education.
Extra Support Visits for students
Would you like to visit the University of Sheffield to meet with our student champions who may have similar experiences to you? They'll take you on a tour of the campus and you can also speak to one of our dedicated contacts about applying to uni. These drop-ins will be appropriate for you if you're aged over 16, studying or already have level 3 qualifications and are interested in finding out more about university. You're welcome to bring a friend, supporter, guardian, or social worker.
We work together with Sheffield Hallam University to support students to find out more about Higher Education.
