PHI614 The Rationalists

The module will introduce students to some of the great rationalists philosophers of the 17th and 18th centuries, such as Descartes, Spinoza, Leibniz, and Kant. Readings will largely be from primary sources. Discussion will focus on philosophical problems more than on historical context.

The module is also available to undergraduates as PHI383.

If there are three or more postgraduates taking the module, a separate seminar will be scheduled for postgraduates only.
