PHI6700 PhD Proposal
The PhD proposal enables students to prepare the ground for their subsequent research. It consists of an outline of their projected PhD thesis together with an annotated bibliography or literature search. It is supervised on a one-to-one basis. As well as being challenging in its own right, the result of the exercise is that students start the PhD knowing where their work is heading and well prepared to complete it on time.
Most of this module consists of the above independent work, but there is one seminar session on how to write a PhD proposal. This will be held at 1PM on 3 November 2017, in Hicks LTA.
