Originally I am a graduate of the ESIME, the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) in Zacatenco México City, where I obtained a BSc in Electronics and Communications Engineering. I gained my Master of Science degree in Control Systems and Doctor of Philosophy in Automatic Control & Systems Engineering from the Department of Automatic Control & Systems Engineering at the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom.
Following a three-year engineering research position at Tecnalia Research & Innovation in San Sebastian-Donostia Spain, I became a Research Associate in the department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Sheffield in 2011 providing research input to the ATLAS ITk (Inner Tracker) Upgrade Detector at CERN, the Central European agency for Nuclear Research. From 2016, I became a Research Fellow working with industry partnerships developing novel manufacturing technologies.

My background and expertise follow my research interests in the areas of Robotics, Applied Particle Physics, Automatic Control and Systems Engineering, primarily focussing on the research and development of flexible manufacturing with industry. I am a member of research staff at Sheffield Robotics, an interdisciplinary research centre for robotics and autonomous systems. I regularly publish in international journals and conferences. I have particular interests in the research of Robotics for decommissioning in Radioactive Environments. Much of my work has been conducted in collaboration with the department of Physics & Astronomy, UK partner institutions with the ATLAS community and UK industry.
