Recruiting: Four new academic and research posts in the Department
At the start of the new year the Department of Politics is pleased to announce that we are seeking to make four appointments.
With a ranking of third in the most recent Research Excellence Framework and a consistently high student satisfaction rate in the National Student Survey, the Department of Politics has an excellent international reputation as one of the most vibrant and successful centres for teaching and research in the UK. As part of an investment by the University in a series of positions at different levels of seniority, the Department is now seeking to make four appointments who share our commitment to teaching and research excellence.
These comprise a Senior Lecturer or Reader in Politics / International Relations, a Lecturer in Politics / International Relations, a Lecturer in Politics / International Politics and Asia, and an Anniversary Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship.
Applications are sought from ambitious, talented and highly motivated individuals who will play an active role in maintaining and enhancing the Department’s national and international reputation for world class teaching, research and innovation.
You will have a strong desire to develop your research profile in line with the Department’s research strategy, through personal research, applying for research funding, a commitment to achieving wider engagement and impact, and supervising research students. You will also be highly committed to education, able to deliver outstanding teaching and supervision to students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and keen to develop your teaching skills.
