Politics staff recognised for Outstanding Practice in Teaching and Learning

Dr Hayley Stevenson and Dr Garrett W. Brown have received awards for their work on the Global Leadership Initiative.

The Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Sheffield has awarded two academics from the Department of Politics for their outstanding work on the Global Leadership Initiative programme.

Along with colleagues from a range of disciplines, Dr Garrett Brown and Dr Hayley Stevenson have worked to set up the unique scheme in which high-performing students have the opportunity to attend international conferences. The students report back on proceedings with policy briefs and analysis.

Garrett Wallace Brown, Hugo Dobson, Hayley Stevenson, Deborah Sporton and Sian Parkinson, Jason Heyes and Tom Goodfellow received their awards from the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for the Faculty of Social Sciences, Professor Gill Valentine at the recent awards conference (pictured left).
