Faculty of Social Sciences Upcoming On-campus Events

The Faculty of Social Sciences is running a series of sessions for current Level 2 and Level 3 undergraduate students from any department or faculty who are thinking about postgraduate study at the University of Sheffield. At these sessions you can speak to staff members to find out about the range of postgraduate courses that are on offer in their departments.

Law, politics and communications are all important elements of our society, and we teach a range of courses about these subjects in our School of Law, Department of Politics, Department of Journalism Studies and School of East Asian Studies. Find out more about these courses in this session.

The society we live in, data and the digital world are key areas of study within Social Sciences. This session will provide information about courses in the areas of Education, Geography, Sociological Studies, East Asian Studies and Information Studies that relate to society, data and our digital world.

Our MA Social Research course will develop the research skills that you need for a career in research or for further study as a PhD student. This session will provide more information about the MA Social Research and progressing to a PhD in the Faculty of Social Sciences.
