A student must be awarded one hundred and twenty credits at Level 2 in order to be eligible to proceed to Level 3. A student who fails to satisfy this requirement may be recommended instead for transfer to the degree of BA Architectural Studies (ARCU105) provided that the student has successfully completed one hundred credits including components of ARC225 and ARC226.

For students intending to proceed to the degree of MArch in Architecture (ARCU126) or MArch in Architecture and Town and Regional Planning (ARCU127), the provisions of the General Regulations for First Degrees as to progression from Level 2 to Level 3 for students pursuing integrated Master's programmes will not apply to this programme.

A student must be awarded one hundred and twenty credits at Level 3 in order to be eligible for the award of the BA in Architecture. A student who fails to satisfy this requirement may be recommended instead for the award of the Degree of BA in Architectural Studies (ARCU105).

The provisions of the General Regulations for First Degrees as to Level weighting shall not apply to this programme. A grade awarded at Level 3 has three times the weight of a grade awarded at Level 2.

|
Following the failure of any Level 3 module, a student who subsequently passes these units on resit shall be exempted from Regulation 36 of the General Regulations for First Degrees and may still be considered for the award of Honours as outlined in Regulation 44 of the General Regulations for first degrees.

|
Following the failure of an Autumn Semester Level 3 module to the value of ten credits, subject to the approval of Head of Department, a student shall be allowed to resit the module within the same academic session.
|
3H
|
Subject to the approval of the Head of School, a student would have satisfied the Examiners in respect of a unit but for failure in one or more components of that unit, the student may be required to re-sit only in respect of that component or those components. Where the student satisfied the Examiners in the re-sit examination, the grade for the unit will be determined as if a bare pass had been awarded only in respect of that component or those components.
