A student must pass units CIV2100, CIV2200, MAT2600 and FCE2001 to proceed to Level 3.

A student must normally achieve a weighted mean grade of 60 or above at Level 2 in order to continue as a student for the Degree of MEng in Architectural Engineering with Study Abroad Year (CIVU34), progression being at the discretion of the Board of Examiners. A student who fails to satisfy this requirement may be permitted to become instead a student for either the Degree of MEng in Architectural Engineering Design (CIVU21) or the Degree of BEng in Architectural Engineering Design (CIVU24)

A student must pass CIV4007 (Individual Research Project) at the first attempt in order to be eligible for the award of the Degree in MEng in Architectural Engineering Design (CIVU21). A student who fails to satisfy this requirement may be awarded the degree of BEng in Architectural Engineering Design (CIVU24) but will be ineligible for the award of that Degree with Honours.
