FCE001  Introduction to Engineering ACAD YR 40 credits
MAS003  Core Foundation Mathematics ACAD YR 40 credits
MAS004  Further Foundation Mathematics ACAD YR 10 credits
PHY009  Foundations of Physics ACAD YR 30 credits

A student will pass the Foundation Year if the average mark in each unit is at or above the pass mark.  A student who fails any unit at the first attempt may enter for a subsequent examination in respect of the unit on no more than one occasion.

A student who achieves a weighted average grade of 60% or higher will automatically progress to level one.  Progression for students who pass the Foundation Year but fail to achieve this grade will be at the discretion of the Admissions Tutor.
