A student will be expected to attend at least two Career Management Skills sessions during the four year programme.

The Head of Department may, if a student fails more than thirty credits in Semester One and in accordance with procedures approved by the Faculty, require a student who has taken the programme of study prescribed at 1A and 1B above to become instead a student for the Degree of Postgraduate Certificate in Polymer and Polymer Composite Science and Engineering (MATT33).

A student who has been awarded one hundred and twenty credits in respect of units listed at 1A and 1B above and who does not proceed to complete the requirements for the Degree of MSc(Eng) will be eligible for the award of the Postgraduate Diploma in Polymer and Polymer Composite Science and Engineering (MATT31).

A student who has been awarded sixty credits in respect of units listed at 1A and 1B above and who does not proceed to complete the requirements for the Degree of MSc(Eng) will be eligible for the award of the Postgraduate Certificate in Polymer and Polymer Composite Science and Engineering (MATT33).

In the event of failure of MAT6040 at the first attempt, any resubmission is subject to the approval of the Board of Examiners.
|

|
A student who does not pass MAT6040 (Project) listed at 1C above with a minimum mark of 60 at the first attempt shall be ineligible to proceed to the Degree of PhD.
