A student who has successfully completed Level 1, including TRP132 and TRP107 or equivalent, may be permitted by the Faculty to become instead a student for the Degree of MPlan in Urban Studies and Planning (TRPU105). A student may spend the second session as a full-time student at an overseas university, the arrangements being subject to the approval of the Head of the Department. During this period a student will take courses deemed to be the equivalent of F5 Level units to the value of one hundred and twenty credits.

Before proceeding to Level 1, a candidate will attain 120 credits, a grade of 60 or above in ACE0345 Maths and Statistics, and a weighted mean grade of 60.0 or above; a candidate with 120 credits and a weighted mean grade of between 57.0 and 59.9 may be permitted to proceed at the discretion of the Board of Examiners and the cognate department.
