Description

Builds on Law of the EU. Dynamic, student-led curriculum: cohort of students selects six current issues in EU law to study together. No traditional lectures, student-led large group sessions: groups of students presenting results of self-directed learning, guided by staff. Supported by staff-led cross-cutting seminars on key themes underpinning any 'current issue'. Opportunities to deepen inquiry-based learning and research skills. Dedicated Law Librarian session enhances skills in retrieval of EU legal materials. Develops skills in communication, group working. Assessment by essay (85%) and group work project (15%). Students may choose their own titles, in consultation with staff. Drop-in 'essay clinic', provides advice on essay preparation.
