Description

This module is an optional, advanced module addressed to students who wish to gain an understanding of, and conduct guided research on, conceptual and practical questions in international and comparative migration law. It will cover a selected list of topics in international and comparative migration law, such as for instance EU refugee law, internal displacement law, international and comparative law on skilled migration, international and comparative law on citizenship and nationality. Students will be introduced to the applicable legal and conceptual frameworks, as well as to relevant contemporary issues. They will also be invited to select a research project that they will conduct within the frame of the module, working both individually and in small groups.
