Description

This module will draw upon relevant theory, research and evidence in order to explore the nature and type of offences associated with vulnerabilities offences. This will include what is known of perpetrators, the impact of vulnerabilities offences on victims, and the specific support needs that they may have as a result, as well as the treatment of and experiences of victims of vulnerabilities crime through the criminal justice system. The module will also explore the significance of risk and the need for protection in investigating vulnerabilities offences and will seek to examine what `good practice' means for practitioners with responsibility for conducting investigations in the area of vulnerability.
