Description

This module provides students with the necessary knowledge of key practical skills required to investigate vulnerabilities offences. Students will be introduced to a number of key areas of skills-based investigative work including how to report and record a range of vulnerabilities crimes, safeguarding, giving evidence, collection, preservation and management of evidence, file preparation and case building, and decision making in relation to risk. Students will also be provided with the opportunity to develop practical skills in interviewing/taking statements from vulnerable victims, witnesses and suspects and writing sound, case relevant reports, as well as undertaking a 1 week in-force placement.
