Award given to Mr William Frostick, Level 3 Psychology Undergraduate Student for best presentation at The Sheffield International Faculty, CITY College in Thessaloniki, Spring Symposium
Earlier this year one of our level 3 students (William Frostick) was given an award for best presentation at the Sheffield International Faculty, CITY College in Thessaloniki, Spring Symposium. Congratulations to Will and his supervisor Dr Aneurin Kennerley.
The Spring Symposium happens every year in the University of Sheffield International Faculty, CITY College in Thessaloniki, Greece. This symposium covers a wide range of activities including lectures, diverse cultural meetings and workshops on the subject areas of Psychology, Computer Science and Business. The really interesting thing about this event is that it is developed for students by students. This year, 2014, the symposium was in its 13th year.
As part of this, The University of Sheffield Enterprise (USE) was looking for the two best student submissions to go to Thessaloniki to present their research at the symposium. William submitted his project dissertation and was selected for an all-expenses paid trip to present his work in Greece at lab Ethra.
More than 100 students from all Departments attended the 14 presentations. The award for best presentation was given to Mr William Frostick from the Psychology Dept at the University of Sheffield, for his presentation "Comparative BOLD fMRI and Optical Imaging Spectroscopy during the 4-AP model of Epilepsy". Supervisor: Dr Aneurin Kennerley
