Selection of Approved Modules

Many students have the opportunity to choose some modules (undergraduates) or units (postgraduates) as part of their programme of study.

Core modules (those you are obliged to take) are added to your student record in advance of registration. Students from some Academic Departments are given the chance to choose from a list of pre-approved modules and this can be done as part of their pre-registration process. If your programme is eligible to select pre-approved modules, you will be contacted by email before Intro Week. More information can be found here

For students registering during Intro Week in September, the process of selecting modules is completed via an Introductory Academic Meeting and (for some) attendance at the Unrestricted Module Event.

Outside the main registration event, this process can be completed by contacting your Academic Department who will then need to inform the Student Administration Service of the modules you are studying.
