Pint of Science 2018: Volunteering

The Pint of Science Team at the University are now preparing for the 2018 festival and are looking to recruit PhD and MSc Science Communication students who are enthusiastic about public engagement to volunteer as Event Managers for the festival.

Harry Potter: A History of Magic

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, the University is working with Sheffield City Council and the British Library to deliver a spell-binding programme of magic-themes events and activities.

Festival of the Mind 2018

Applications for Festival of the Mind 2018 are now open. Funding for between £500 and £5,000 is available for public engagement projects to feature in next year's festival between 20-30 September. The deadline for applications is 31 January 2018.
