myPublications log-in

myPublications is available to:

  • All academic staff
  • All research staff
  • All teaching staff
  • All postgraduate research students
  • Honorary staff
  • Selected Sheffield Teaching Hospitals staff
  • All administrative staff within academic departments and faculties
  • Selected professional services departments

If you require access and do not have it, then please contact myPublications@sheffield.ac.uk for assistance.

Your account is linked to your personnel ID as assigned by HR. It is not uncommon for this ID to change if you move jobs or roles within the University, even if you keep the same username. If it ever appears that your profile has been reset, then it’s likely that we can quickly link your new ID to your old account. Please contact myPublications@sheffield.ac.uk for assistance.

Delegate access

You can grant access to your myPublications account to a member of your support team to enable them to undertake the full range of activities for you (e.g. accepting new outputs and depositing them to the repository). They use their own account and do not require your username or password. In addition, your department may have nominated myPublications administrator(s) who automatically have access.

To add a delegate, choose 'Manage delegates' from the 'My Account' box in the 'Menu' tab. Type the surname of your delegate, choose from the drop-down list and 'Add delegate'. If your chosen delegate does not appear, contact mypublications@sheffield.ac.uk.

To remove a delegate click the red cross next to their name.

'Impersonate' another user

If you have been nominated as a delegate for someone else or have departmental administrator access, click 'Impersonate another user' from the very top menu bar and choose the relevant person from the list. Depending on the number of people you can impersonate, you may have to use the search box.

Impersonate another user

The top menu bar now shows that you are impersonating another user. All of the options in the menus now relate to their records. To stop impersonating, click the small red cross next to their name in the top menu bar.
