Welcome to the Dainton Graduate Research Centre
The University is committed to supporting and nurturing its postgraduate research students within a world-class research environment.
The Dainton Graduate Research Centre offers research students dedicated and bookable work spaces at the heart of the campus. The centre has been designed with students' needs in mind. It has wireless connectivity, social space with soft seating, flexible work space, seminar room and kitchen facilities.
The centre is managed by Research Services and hosts the delivery of the DDP skills training programme for research students, which offers an extensive range of workshops, courses and seminars. Additionally, research students can access one-to-one guidance and advice in areas related to careers, employability and personal effectiveness.
The Centre is open 7 days a week between the hours of 8am and 12 midnight. Access to the building is by authorised UCard.
Floor D provides flexible study and social space for the postgraduate community. This includes a computer facility offering 28 bookable networked computers with black and white and colour printing, scanning and photocopying facilities. Prior to being allocated a workspace in the Centre, research students will be required to sign an agreement detailing appropriate use of the facilities.
Floor C offers 27 long term workspaces with lockable storage – currently there are no openings for long term workspaces. To register your interest in this space, please email firstname.lastname@example.org who will be able to add you to the Waiting List.
