Award of degree
Examination Boards finalise students’ marks and recommend their degree awards and classifications. Before the Examination Board meets, student marks are provisional and may be subject to change. Examination Board meetings are attended by relevant academic staff and external examiners. The Board meets three times during the academic year: to confirm marks and grades at the end of semesters one and two and to recommend final degree awards and classifications.
Postgraduate degrees, diplomas and certificates are awarded in line with University regulations relating to higher degrees.
