Health and Clinical Research Delivery (HCRD) Bursaries

We hope to have full bursaries (100% of tuition fees) for the PGCertificate, PGDiploma and full Masters in Health and Clinical Research available to NHS/publicly-funded healthcare professionals in England for September 2024 entry. Confirmation of these bursaries will be available in early 2024.



To be eligible for a Health and Clinical Research Delivery (HCRD) Bursary funded by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), you must

  • currently be an NHS or public-funded healthcare worker in England
  • have been offered a place on the University of Sheffield’s HCRD PGCertificate, PGDiploma or Masters top up programme
  • have the support of your employer to undertake the HCRD course starting in September 2024 
  • agree to share your contact details with the Clinical Research Network and provide information (respond to a survey) for up to five (5) years about the impact of the course on your career

Confirmation of these bursaries will be available in early 2024. This page will be updated with information on how to apply when the bursaries are confirmed.

Terms and conditions

This bursary can only be used for the tuition fees for this course - it can not be used for any other purpose and will be paid directly to the Student Fees Team on behalf of the student.
