Announcement of Applied Research Collaboration for Yorkshire and Humber (ARC YH)
The NIHR have in the last few days announced the award of £9 million for an Applied Research Collaboration for Yorkshire and Humber (ARC YH), that includes the Universities of Sheffield, Bradford, Leeds and York in collaboration with Health and care providers, commissioners, local authorities, private companies and charities throughout the region.
This is great news for the University and Faculty as research groups in ScHARR are playing a lead role in three of the six ARC YH research themes, a reflection of the excellent reputation Sheffield has for the impact of its high-quality health research.

Professor Suzanne Mason in the Centre for Urgent and Emergency Care (CURE), ScHARR is Deputy Director and leading the Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC) theme. Fellow ScHARR academics, Professor Scott Weich in the Mental Health Research Unit is co-leading the Mental and Physical Co-morbidity Theme and Dr Tracey Young in the Health Economics and Decision Science Section is leading the Health Economics, Evaluation and Equality Theme.
