- Profile

I studied for a BSc in Psychology at the University of Nottingham before moving to the University of Sheffield in 2017 to complete an MSc in Psychological Research Methods with Advanced Statistics. After completion, I worked in ScHARR’s Clinical Trials Research Unit as a Research Assistant on the ACtiF Programme. This was a complex intervention designed to support people with cystic fibrosis to adhere to nebulised medications. I am now using data from the ACtiF randomised controlled trial to study habits in medication adherence in my PhD.

PhD title: Exploring context stability and habit in the maintenance of adherence to medications in people with long-term conditions.
My research is on behaviour change in health-related behaviours, focusing mainly on habits in medication adherence behaviour. My PhD explores ways in which people have conceptualised and implemented 'habit formation interventions' for taking medications in long-term conditions, and in novel methods to identify features of habit in objective medication adherence data.
I am particularly interested in identifying and articulating core intervention techniques for forming habits and in how we measure habits.
