I am a PhD student under the remote location scheme, under the supervision of Professor Aki Tsuchiya and Dr. Praveen Thokala.
I did my undergraduate studies in business administration at Universidad Diego Portales, in Chile. After working for 15 years in corporate finances and stock markets, I decided to move my career to an activity more oriented to public policy and population wellbeing, in health care specifically.
After enrolling in a certificate in clinical public research methods in 2012, I entered the three-year program in Health Economics at The University of York given by distance learning (PGCert, PGDip and MSc), finally in 2016 I got the Degree of Master of Science in Economic Evaluation for Health Technology Assessment.
I work as a researcher in the Health Technology Assessment Unit at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. My main job is to do research in health economics and undertake cost-effectiveness studies, including model design of several types of representations for health care decision making (cohort, individual, discrete event, population, system dynamics, and resource utilisation).
