Biography

I joined CTRU as a Medical Statistician in October 2011. Before that I graduated with a BSc degree in Economics and Mathematics and an MSc in Statistics with Medical Applications from The University of Sheffield. I have also worked for the NIHR Research Design Service Yorkshire and the Humber (RDS-YH) and in the Cancer Clinical Trials Centre, Sheffield.

Current and Previous Projects

I am involved in the following projects:

  • ASPECT - Alleviating Specific Phobias Experienced by Children Trial
  • Journeying through Dementia - A randomised controlled trial of the clinical and cost-effectiveness of the Journeying through Dementia intervention compared to usual care
  • Lifestyle Matters – A randomised controlled trial to determine the benefit of an occupational therapy based programme for people aged 65 years and older
  • REPOSE - The Relative Effectiveness of Pumps over MDI and Structured Education for Type-1 diabetes
  • IPSU - Impact of physiotherapy on sexual function and a comparison of standard versus electrical stimulation
  • TABUL - Ultrasonography in the Diagnosis of Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA)
  • HydroDMD – Hydrotherapy for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy: a Randomised Pilot Trial
