The TA SURE scheme is an opportunity for early career researchers from the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry and Health and Science to acquire principle investigator experience. The scheme offers successful applicants the opportunity to manage their own research project. This includes the recruitment and supervision of an undergraduate student. Erin will be receiving training in recruitment, teaching and supervision. The student that she has chosen will have the opportunity to work with her on a paid placement and thus Erin will be trained in the financial and budgetary management of the project. The project is a systematic mapping review looking at the treatment of death anxiety in a clinical populations. Erin will support the student to complete the review over a period of eight weeks in summer 2019. The student will benefit from being in a research based environment which should assist with the development of their future career choices. The student will also benefit from learning a new method of research that they can apply to various subjects as they progress in their own careers.
