ScHARR section: Design, Trials & Statistics (DTS)
I graduated in 2013 from Lancaster University with my Bachelors degree in Mathematics with Statistics. Following that, I carried on my studies at Lancaster University and completed a Masters degree in Statistics. In October 2014 I started my Ph.D. at the University of Sheffield.
Ph.D Title: An investigation of the factors which influence children with asthma having asthma exacerbations around the start of the new school year
My general research interests are using statistics and mixed methods to applied situations. For example my PhD will use mixed methods to investigate the factors which influence children with asthma having an unscheduled medical contact in September following the return to school.
I am currently a tutor for the ScHARR module HAR6036: Statistics for the Health and Medical Sciences.
I am one of postgraduate student representative for ScHARR and I am also one of the ScHARR student representatives for the faculty. This means I sit on both the ScHARR PGR committee and the MDH PGR Forum.
