Excellence Hub
The Excellence Hub for Yorkshire and Humber offers exciting learning experiences in Higher Education settings for high achieving Year 7 - 13 students who might not otherwise consider Higher Education.

How to book
Events are open to students from across the UK who have been identified by their school or college as high achieving according to our eligibility criteria.
Visit Excellence Hub to find events which you would like to attend.
The Hub is a regional collaboration between the University of Leeds, University of Sheffield and University of York, who host the website and booking process. The programme as a whole covers a diverse range of subjects and disciplines and offers young people the chance to experience a taster session or a masterclass in an area that interests them, either at their local or neighbouring partner university.
Eligibility criteria
Students must have been identified as being high achieving by their school/college to be eligible to attend Excellence Hub events.
Please note that priority will be given to students who also meet one or more of the following criteria:
- The student is eligible to receive free school meals
- There is no history of Higher Education (studying at university level) in the student’s immediate family (excluding siblings)
- The student is living in, or has experienced a period of time living in, Local Authority Care
- Students or groups of students who do not meet any of these criteria are still welcome to apply to attend events. However, priority will be given to students who meet the above criteria
