Fees for the 2018-19 academic year can be found here

Further Information:

  • You can find the credit weighting for each module in the module descriptions.
  • Fees include continuous formative assessment (i.e. homework assignments) and summative assessment at the end of the semester (i.e. examinations), and entitle you to receiving an SEAS Certificate of Attendance or Completion upon request.
  • Two-semester course enrolment: This fee is only available when enrolling in the Autumn for two semesters. Learners who enrolled for one semester only in the Autumn and wish to continue the course in the Spring semester will need to pay the ‘one semester course’ fee when enrolling in the Spring.

Enrolment procedure

Everyone may apply online by completing the SEAS LFA enrolment form. Once you have submitted the form, the SEAS will contact you to confirm which module you are pre-registered for or, if necessary, invite you to come for an interview with a Language Teacher who will assess your language level. We will also confirm which steps you need to take to finalise your enrolment.

By completing the online enrolment form you are not guaranteed a place on your chosen module.

Cancellation Policy

Not-for-credit, fee waiver students
Students who wish to cancel their semester one enrolment on a SEAS module must notify us by completing the cancellation form no later than 5PM, FRIDAY 12th OCTOBER 2018.

Students who enrol for both semesters, or semester two only, an cancel their semester two registration until 5PM, FRIDAY 22nd FEBRUARY 2019 by completing the cancellation form.

It is not possible to drop a module after the above deadlines, unless:

  • You have exceptional circumstances, such as a serious medical condition (proof will be required)
  • AND no more than three teaching weeks were attended

Not-for-credit, self-funded students (UG, PGT, PGR, staff and members of the public)
Students who wish to cancel their semester one enrolment on a SEAS module must notify us by completing the cancellation form no later than 5PM, FRIDAY 12th OCTOBER 2018.

Students who enrol for both semesters, or semester two only, an cancel their semester two registration until 5PM, FRIDAY 22nd FEBRUARY 2019 by completing the cancellation form.

Cancellations made before these deadlines will result in a refund of the course fee, minus an administrative charge of £50.00.

Refunds will not be issued after these deadlines, unless:

  • Extenuating circumstances apply, which can be evidenced
  • AND no more than three teaching weeks were attended

A student who enrols for both Autumn and Spring semesters, completes the Autumn semester, and then decides not to continue in Spring may cancel their Spring module up until the Spring deadline. In these cases, the refund will be equal to the two-semester fee minus the one-semester fee, minus an administrative charge of £50.00.

Spring semester cancellations submitted before 5PM, FRIDAY 25th JANUARY 2019 will result in a waiver of the £50.00 administrative fee. In these cases, the refund will be equal to the two-semester fee minus the one-semester fee.

Students who enrol for both semesters and wish to cancel their second semester module will receive a refund minus the first semester fee.

Students cancelling after the above deadlines are liable for the full course fee.
