On the 20th January the School of East Asian Studies will be hosting a White Rose East Asia Centre Workshop which has been generously funded by the AHRC under the Language Based Area Studies umbrella.

Speakers for the Day include Dr Mark Pendelton and Dr Marjorie Dryburgh from the School of East Asian Studies.

Dr Pendelton will be presenting on ‘Imperial Ruins and Capitalist Wastelands: Historical Time in Hino Keizô's Postwar Japan’

Dr Dryburgh will be presenting on ‘Visual Histories of a Northern City: in search of a people's past’
