Profile

I joined SEAS in March 2020 after teaching Japanese Newspaper reading and spoken language classes as GTA for a couple of semesters. I also supported event organising for Japan Now North for all three iterations of the festival.

I am currently completing a PhD in Theatre and Performance Studies at the University of Sheffield, and my thesis title is “Paratext in Contemporary Theatre Practice”. My research interests include: contemporary theatre and performance, paratextuality, one-to-one performance, translation as creative practice and self-translation.
