Research interests

Saerom Kwak's research interests include teaching methods, curriculum, material design, and second language acquisition.

Her recent research illustrated a Korean language teaching method for teaching '-다 (Da)' style to Korean learners using "Consciousness-Raising Tasks", which requires learners to solve grammar rules problems through information exchange and interaction with each other. The study proposed teaching procedures and a series of tasks for intermediate-level learners as an alternative or supplementary student material.
