 Skills Resource Bank

Use the Skills Resource bank to search, identify and filter the opportunities that are most appropriate for you as part of your own skills development pathway and to work towards developing the attributes of the Sheffield Graduate.

You can also build up a log of activities undertaken via the Activities Dashboard, which you can use to keep track of your own personal and professional development. Search by category, take the 301 Skills Audit, or customise according to a range of tags and filters. Talks, workshops and one-to-one advice to enable you to develop a range of skills to help you to succeed in the future. We also support you to understand and articulate the skills you’ve gained from your studies, employment experience and extra-curricular activities, and see how these can help you in a variety of ways, from making career choices to improving your chances in the recruitment process.

The English Language Teaching Centre (ELTC) offers a wide range of English language courses and services for University students and departments, as well as the public. Whether you are interested in studying at the University, are a student already or are simply looking to improve your English, our activities and resources could be for you.

The ELTC is housed in a purpose-built facility which includes modern classrooms and well-equipped computer suites, as well as advanced audio-visual equipment and learning resources. We provide all the spaces, computers, software and recording equipment you need to produce audio and video creative media.
