Profile

I am currently a PhD student in the Wellcome Trust Doctoral Training Centre in Public Health, Economics and Decision Science. Prior to this I completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology (2016) before going on to complete a MSc in Health Psychology with distinction at the University of St Andrews (2017).

Whilst studying for my Masters degree I was employed as a research assistant working on a joint project between the University of Dundee and NHS Tayside investigating women’s perception of mammograms. Prior to beginning my PhD, I briefly worked for the Scottish Health Council where I was responsible for promoting improvements in the quality and extent of patient and public involvement by NHS, HSCP and third sector services provided in Fife.

Research interests

My research interests are health behaviour, public health economic modelling and the determinants of harmful alcohol consumption. I have a specific interest in the impact of inequalities on health behaviour and how psychological factors may play a role.
