Teaching and assessment

The teaching is supportive and flexible to meet your needs with online and practice based learning to support part time attendance at University. Assessment includes case presentations, case reports, OSCEs, multi-choice and short answer exams, assignments, reflective portfolio.

Programme overview

Core modules

  • Evidence based practice
  • Consultation and person-centred primary care
  • Advanced clinical assessment (including paediatrics and mental health)
  • Independent prescribing (or equivalent for ANP role)
  • Complex needs and primary care development

Optional modules

    Subject to availability and approval of the programme lead the student may choose an optional 15 credit module

Awards

The award of Post-Graduate Diploma is available after completing taught modules. Or you can complete a further practice focused project report for the award of MMedSci.
