Biography

I am a mental health nurse researcher working on nursing workforce and policy research at the RCN/School of Nursing strategic alliance. I have worked in a variety of ward based and community mental health services in the UK and Gibraltar. I am a qualified EMDR therapist and completed my PhD in Health Services Research, with a focus on the use of EMDR to treat long term depression. I am interested in a whole person view of health care particularly in people who have multiple conditions which include both mental and physical illnesses. I also work in the mental health research unit in ScHARR and I am the University’s Humanist and non-religious adviser to the Chaplaincy Centre.
