Thesis: Exploring evidence concerning Omani and migrant graduates’ employment and employability in the Tourism and Hospitality sector in Oman
As more migrants enter the Arab Gulf states in general and Oman in particular in pursuit of their career trajectories, the effects of this trend on the labour market and employment in Oman have been increasingly evident. My research sheds light on the employment and employability of Omani and migrant graduates by exploring evidence regarding the Tourism and Hospitality (T&H) sector in Oman. This sector is expected to be a key element of the economic future for generations to come, following the transition from the Oil and Gas sector. My study aims to capture and examine the attitudes and perspectives of both Omani and migrant labour force participants towards work in T&H to provide insights and input into sensitive labour market and social policies in Oman, such as Omanisation policy.
